I was tired of reading stories that felt somehow empty or incomplete. There are just so many times I can reread NR Walker's "Element of Retrofit," or Kaje Harper's "The Rebuilding Year," to restore my love of the written word. Devon Rhodes' "A Ring and a Promise," and "A Ring and a Vow," restored some of my optimism and put a smile on my face. Ditto for JL Merrow's "Muscling Through." So far really, really good.
