Breaking Logan’s Laws
Cameron Dane
“Breaking
Logan’s Law” is by far my favorite story in Cameron Dane’s “Quinn Security
Series.” The backward glimpse in this story works better than the sometimes excruciating
time-lapse of the first installment, which was a slow build to a fast-forward,
which in turn threw off my equilibrium and left me a bit queasy. But I was ever
so happy I stuck with it and got to this book.
These
guys weren’t exactly sprinting to the finish line, nor did they require an anal
probe or even a decade to figure it out. (Turns out ten has to be some sort of
magic number, there are far too many books where ten is the number of years
for: unrequited love, lost love or stupid love. The take me back “please”
variety for the latter, should have an answer that’s clearly “no,” but is invariably
is “yes.” What the F#$%!)
Mostly
I really enjoyed tracking Logan’s laws as he makes them and breaks them.
