Release the ... What? (Taken By Tentacles)
Yeah well, I’m still trying to
figure out why I read this kind of stuff. In a way it likens me to the LCD
(less common denominator - and wasn’t that pretentious as hell). The thing is I
like HEA and fidelity elements rarely found in books with titles containing the
words “tentacles,” and “taken,” in close proximity. “Release the Kraken,” yeah
that sounds about right—love—not so
much. And as much as I’m a sucker for the big love story, I still read these
raunchy lusty books. Maybe it’s the titillation or I’m over thinking the
self-analysis portion of this review. Or really, maybe a review is not the best
place for introspection. What can I say, other than I paid $2.99 for part 2 and
read it right off. Whatever jaded part of me is comforted with the thought that
true love is an illusion is still waiting with bated breath for part three. So,
eff-it—whatever.
